Book an Eye Test
An eye examination is an important health check which should be conducted regularly.
At Jonathon Bryan Opticians we offer an excellent comprehensive eye test using the latest technology for eye examinations.
- Your eyes are checked for any signs of eye disease and general health problems
- Photographs of the back of your eye are taken and stored to enable us to spot any changes in the condition of your eye over time
- We make sure your good eye health enables you to see as clearly as possible through your spectacles
- Unique to us, Glaucoma testing with the HRT II Tomograph Retina Scan (see below for more information)
- You may be entitled to a free NHS sight test (see below for guidelines)
Routine eye tests take around 30 mins and contact lens check-ups can be completed in around 20 mins.
We emphasise that our 30 min eye test will ensure that you won't feel rushed and that your questions will be answered.
Our eye test is a thorough health-check not only a test to determine your prescription.
We differ to other high-street Opticians by providing a longer, more thorough examination.
Priding ourselves on providing excellent aftercare - our Optician Alan Grehan [BSc (Hons) FAOI MCOptom] has been working in the practice for 7 years and is always available to speak to you if you have any concerns or queries after their test.
For clinical queries speak direct to Alan our Optician via info@jonathonbryan.co.uk
What is glaucoma?
- Glaucoma is a serious eye disease that can cause irreversible blindness.
- The condition affects 1 in 50 people, although this increases to 1 in 20 after the age of 65.
- Normally there are no specific signs or symptoms
- Eyesight will seem unchanged but your vision is being progressively damaged.
How can the HRT II Tomograph Retina Scan benefit you?
- This latest technology make the difficult task of early detection possible.
- Our advanced equipment is more efficient and effective than any other on the market.
- The confocal scanning laser is non-threatening, non-invasive, fast and easy.
- For both early detection and follow up of glaucoma we can ensure the highest quality and most accurate data.
